Job summary

Walmart Inc. in Midland, TX is seeking a Technician, Facility Services, Low Voltage-Licensed to install, configure, and support low voltage systems such as security, fire alarms, CCTV, and audio/visual networks.

You will run, terminate, label, and test cabling, perform inspections and maintenance, diagnose faults, and coordinate with engineers and project managers to ensure on-schedule, high-quality work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hold and maintain jurisdiction-required certification and license for the state/jurisdiction of work.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions within the last five years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations within the last three years.
• Commercial driving record with no preventable accidents within the last three years.
• Ability to read and speak English.
• 1 year’s experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related technical trade or Walmart store experience.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
• Experience in local electrical codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up, install, and support low voltage systems including security, fire alarms, CCTV, and AV networks.
• Run, terminate, label, and test cabling per project specs.
• Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and functional testing to ensure reliability.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve faults to minimize downtime.
• Maintain records of installations, inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
