Universal Health Services is seeking a Licensed Outpatient Therapist at Lighthouse Behavioral Health Hospital in South Carolina. The position focuses on comprehensive mental health and substance use assessments, admissions support, and discharge planning within a multidisciplinary team.

You will coordinate with outpatient providers, families, and community resources, and participate in continuous improvement activities and community outreach.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in a relevant field.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in South Carolina.
• 1-3 years of experience in a clinical mental health setting; 3-5 years preferred.

Responsabilités

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals with mental illness, behavioral issues, or substance use.
• Assist admissions process for voluntary and involuntary cases, coordinating with families and law enforcement.
• Make referrals to community resources as appropriate.
• Coordinate discharge planning with medical staff.
• Participate as a multidisciplinary team member and in community relations programs.
• Engage in continuous performance improvement activities and communicate with outpatient referral sources.

Lighthouse Behavioral Health Hospital is a psychiatric hospital that began offering substance abuse and mental health services in 2002. Primarily established to house adolescents, Lighthouse has transitioned to offering a full spectrum of acute inpatient services to adults and seniors as well. Since 2010, Lighthouse has expanded its mental health and substance abuse services. In 2013, Lighthouse opened a 28-day inpatient chemical dependency rehabilitation unit - the first of its kind in the Grand Strand area. In 2015, Lighthouse opened an acute adolescent unit to meet the needs of teens and their families in the Grand Strand. In 2022, Lighthouse opened an Adult Substance Use Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program. At Lighthouse, we strive to perform at a high level for our patients and their families.

Responsible for comprehensive assessment of persons whose lives are disrupted or complicated by mental illness, behavioral disturbance, substance issues or inability to function or maintain in the community. Assists law enforcement, family members and others with the admission process, both voluntary and involuntary. Makes referrals to community resources as appropriate. Coordinates discharge planning through the medical staff. The therapist is expected to function as a member of the multidisciplinary team and participate in the community relations program of the organization. Participates in continuous performance improvement activities. Communicates with outpatient referral sources, families/guardians, and outpatient aftercare providers.
