Job summary

Lighthouse Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Group Therapist to perform comprehensive assessments and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team in a psychiatric setting.

The role supports admission processes, discharge planning, and coordination with community resources. Applicants should have a Master’s degree and SC licensure eligibility, with 1–3 years in mental health—3–5 years preferred.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree required.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of South Carolina.
• 1-3 years of experience in a clinical mental health setting; 3-5 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for comprehensive assessment of individuals with mental illness, behavioral issues, substance concerns, or functional impairment.
• Assists law enforcement, family members, and others with admission (voluntary and involuntary) processes.
• Makes referrals to community resources as appropriate.
• Coordinates discharge planning through medical staff.
• Functions as a member of the multidisciplinary team and participates in community relations programs.
• Participates in continuous performance improvement activities.
• Communicates with outpatient referral sources, families/guardians, and outpatient aftercare providers.

Lighthouse Behavioral Health Hospital has a Per Diem Group Therapist Position(s) Available!

Lighthouse Behavioral Health Hospital is a psychiatric hospital that began offering substance abuse and mental health services in 2002. Primarily established to house adolescents, Lighthouse has transitioned to offering a full spectrum of acute inpatient services to adults and seniors as well. Since 2010, Lighthouse has expanded its mental health and substance abuse services. In 2013, Lighthouse opened a 28-day inpatient chemical dependency rehabilitation unit—the first of its kind in the Grand Strand area. In 2015, Lighthouse opened an acute adolescent unit to meet the needs of teens and their families in the Grand Strand. In 2022, Lighthouse opened an Adult Substance Use Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program. At Lighthouse, we strive to perform at a high level for our patients and their families.
