Engineering Enterprises, Inc. (EEI) is seeking an organized Land Surveyor to work in its Surveying Group in Illinois. You will handle a range of surveys including boundary, ALTA, IDOT plats, and topographic projects while collaborating with teammates to meet deadlines.

The ideal candidate holds a PLS license in Illinois with 2-5 years of experience and is proficient in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Trimble tools. Strong communication and a valid driver’s license are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in Illinois with 2–5 years of experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Trimble Business Center.
• Ability to operate Trimble robotic total station and Trimble GPS equipment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong client interaction.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Participate in business development activities with existing and prospective clients.
• Prepare and review boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, IDOT plats, topographic surveys, subdivision plats, legal descriptions, easement exhibits, and roadway survey deliverables.
• Analyze and supervise the analysis of legal descriptions and prepares/signs plats.
• Assist PM with project budgets, schedules and proposals.
• Manage multiple projects and client deadlines.
• Perform boundary analysis, calculations, and plat review.
• Conduct research of deeds, plats, easements, and public records both online and at county recorder offices.
• Support field operations utilizing modern surveying technology and workflows.
