Job summary

KIPP Memphis Collegiate Elementary seeks an effective classroom teacher. Reporting to the Principal, you will deliver high-quality instruction across all grades (K-5) and promote a college-preparatory culture to support student pathways to college and beyond.

Qualifications

• Active Tennessee state licensure and certification matching subject area & grade band.
• Preferred at least two years of teaching experience.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in education/teaching content area.
• Experience teaching in an urban school and/or charter network.
• Commitment to working with educationally underserved students.

Responsibilities

• Plan a program of study and lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and development.
• Use varied instructional techniques and media to meet student needs.
• Provide additional duties as necessary to support school goals.
• Maintain professional relationships and engage in ongoing PD.
