Job summary

Southern Ute Indian Tribe is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to repair, maintain, and install electrical systems in Tribal buildings and residences. The role includes troubleshooting safety hazards and requires licensure in Colorado or within first 3 months, plus passing background and drug tests.

The position is based in Ignacio, CO with on-site work and a 5:00 pm MST closing time for applications on 9/8/2026.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or Equivalent.
• 4 years of electrical experience.
• Licensed Journeyman Electrician in the State of Colorado or obtain licensure within first 3 months of employment.
• Lockout/Tag-out procedures experience.
• Ability to work rotating on-call schedule.
• Must have valid Driver’s License for state of residency and be insurable under Tribal policy.
• Must pass a thorough background check including Criminal History and fingerprint check.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, and install mechanical and electrical equipment in Tribal buildings and Tribal member residences.
• Troubleshoot and correct safety hazards.
