Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Licensed Electrician for an upcoming data center project in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience working in Data Centers.

Responsibilities

• Assembly, installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical equipment and wiring systems in commercial settings.
• Preparing work areas for equipment installation.
• Installing electrical components and connecting wiring as per code and specifications.
• Operating equipment only if trained and certified, including powder-activated tools, JLG lifts, etc.
• Setting up and operating tools such as hydraulic benders, power threaders, and cable vacuum systems.
• Reading blueprints and electrical drawings to install systems accurately.
• Verifying dimensions, alignments, and clearances.
• Securing and locking up equipment after use.
• Holding a State Journeyman Electrician Certification where required.
• Delivering safe projects on schedule and within budget.
• Maintaining excellent knowledge of Building Codes.
• Exhibiting strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Demands

• Working in various elements, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
• Wearing PPE such as hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and respirators when required.
• Ability to work 8-10 hours per day, including overtime and night shifts.
• Performing physical tasks including crawling, standing, lifting objects over 50 pounds, and repetitive arm and hand movements.
