Job summary

Generator Supercenter, Inc. is hiring a Licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our team. You will wire, install, and maintain standby generator systems for residential and light commercial sites, ensuring safe, code-compliant work. You’ll collaborate with installation and service teams to deliver reliable energy solutions.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Journeyman Electrician License or Residential Wireman License.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of residential or commercial electrical experience.
• Strong knowledge of the NEC (National Electrical Code).
• AC and DC electrical experience preferred.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and blueprints.
• Comfortable working with tools, conduit benders, and test meters.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various conditions.

Responsibilities

• Pull wire, bend and install conduit, and wire electrical devices and control panels.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
• Install electrical components for generator systems including ATS (Automatic Transfer Switches).
• Perform load testing, electrical diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
• Assist in preparing generator sites, including trenching, piping, and setting mechanical components.
• Conduct AC and DC electrical work for power generation systems.
• Use electrical measurement and testing equipment proficiently and safely.
• Ensure all installations meet local and national electrical codes.
• Promote a safe and positive work environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Position Overview

As a Licensed Journeyman Electrician, you’ll work alongside our expert installation and service teams to wire, install, and maintain standby generator systems and related electrical equipment.
