Job summary

Generator Supercenter, Inc. in Irvine, CA is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join our team installing and maintaining standby generator systems for residential and light commercial applications.

You will wire, install, troubleshoot, and ensure code-compliant work in collaboration with installation and service crews. Ideal candidates have strong NEC knowledge, 3+ years of electrical experience, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Journeyman Electrician License.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of residential or commercial electrical experience.
• Strong knowledge of the NEC (National Electrical Code).
• AC and DC electrical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pull wire, bend and install conduit, and wire electrical devices and control panels.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
• Install electrical components for generator systems including ATS (Automatic Transfer Switches).
• Perform load testing, electrical diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
• Assist in preparing generator sites, including trenching, piping, and setting mechanical components.
• Conduct AC and DC electrical work for power generation systems.
• Use electrical measurement and testing equipment proficiently and safely.
• Ensure all installations meet local and national electrical codes.
• Promote a safe and positive work environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Position Overview

• Comfortable working with tools, conduit benders, and test meters
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various conditions
