Job summary

HES is seeking a Licensed Journeyman Electrician for maintenance across educational facilities. The role involves working with 480V and below systems, requiring a valid Electric Journeyman license and safe, proactive maintenance practices.

You will diagnose issues with meters and electrical components, follow work orders, and perform installations and repairs in accordance with NEC standards. A strong safety mindset and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient in electrical maintenance, diagnostics and test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties involving electrical maintenance, repair and installation of building electrical equipment and systems.
• Use multimeter and diagnostic testing techniques on electrical components.
• Operate work order systems and dispatching; follow procedures for assignments.
• Carry out installations and repairs per NEC standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance including inspections, cleaning and adjustments.
• Ensure equipment is maintained safely and uptime is minimized.

Essential Accountabilities:

Main duties involve 480V and belowMMust provide copy of license.

• 1. Perform all those duties necessary involving all phases of electrical maintenance, repair and installation of building electrical equipment and systems.
• 2. Proficient in the proper use of multimeter, and electrical diagnostic testing techniques on all electrical components.
• 3. Proficient with work order systems, work order (WO) dispatching and recording system, follow all operating procedures for receiving electronic, WO’s assignments on routine or emergency basis. Also capable of receiving all work assignments given verbally or written instructions to complete assigned tasks.
• 4. Perform various electrical installations and repairs related to all electrical facilities and related equipment, in accordance with National Electric Code (NEC).
• 5. Perform those duties necessary to carry out Preventative Maintenance (PM) i.e., inspections, cleaning, and adjusting of all electrical equipment.
• 6. Assures that equipment is being maintained in a safe manner. Minimizes down time through proactive performance testing and scheduled maintenance.
