Job summary

Clean Scapes is seeking an Irrigator in San Antonio, TX to install, maintain, operate and repair underground irrigation systems. The role includes audits, inventory checks, and coordinating parts and supplies. The candidate will map systems for master plans and may instruct others in irrigation repairs.

Physical work and safety training are required. The job involves operating trenchers and rock saws, driving routes, and performing maintenance as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the installation of new drip and sprinkler systems.
  • Set and maintain times on controllers; troubleshoot irrigation systems including electrical/mechanical aspects.
  • Map systems for master plans and assist in irrigation repairs as needed.
  • Operate trenchers and rock saws to install/repair lines.
  • Ensure safe operation of vehicle and adherence to safety policies.
  • Support quality assurance and maintain professional appearance of vehicles and staff.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Salary Range: $21.00 - $30.00 Hourly

The Irrigator installs, maintains, operates, repairs, troubleshoots underground irrigations systems as well as completes irrigation audits. The Irrigator conducts inventory of tools, equipment, or materials to ensure that sufficient supplies are available, and items are in usable condition. He/she completes requests for irrigation parts and supplies.


This position requires extensive knowledge of underground sprinkler systems working with commercial irrigation systems.

ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the installation of new drip and sprinkler systems

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

(all required to be done for up to 8 hours or more a day):


While performing the essential duties of the job, the position requires physical abilities such as heavy lifting, pushing and pulling of up to 50 pounds, manual dexterity, wrist-finger movement, digging using a shovel. In addition, working conditions include inadequate lighting, restricted movement, dirty environment, air contamination, extreme temperatures, intense noise, hazardous materials, or lifting or carrying heavy objects. The employee must be always physically coherent and aware especially when dealing with heavy machinery, equipment or while driving.
