Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and commercial irrigation systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues including leaks, electrical faults, controller failures, and damaged components.
• Perform seasonal start-ups, system winterizations, and routine system tune-ups.
• Install and repair irrigation components including sprinkler heads, valves, piping, and controllers.
• Program and adjust irrigation controllers to optimize system performance and water efficiency.
• Conduct system inspections and preventative maintenance checks.
• Dig trenches and access underground piping as needed for repairs and installations.
• Map irrigation zones and ensure proper system coverage and functionality.
• Load, inspect, and maintain tools, equipment, and materials for daily work.
• Complete service reports, documentation, and work orders accurately and timely.
• Communicate effectively with customers and Focal Pointe management regarding system status, repairs, and recommendations.
• Work across a variety of job sites, including large commercial properties and residential locations.
• Travel up to 30% within the service territory
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Summary

An Irrigation Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing residential and commercial irrigation systems to ensure efficient water distribution and overall system performance. This role includes troubleshooting issues such as leaks, broken sprinkler heads, faulty valves, wiring problems, and controller malfunctions.

Supervisory Responsibilities

The Irrigation Technician does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Duties/Responsibilities

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This position is primarily based in an outdoor work environment and is a full time role. Overtime, evening hours, weekend work, and travel may also be required. A valid unencumbered driver’s license is required this position.
