Job summary

Webb Property Inspections is seeking a Texas Home Inspector to guide buyers through property condition assessments for residential and commercial properties. You will inspect electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, and structure, document findings, and deliver reports within 24 hours.

You can craft your own schedule, work mostly remotely with on-site inspections as needed, and be paid per job. A strong emphasis is placed on safety, accuracy, and customer communication.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid TREC Home Inspectors license or be actively pursuing one.
• Able to stand, crawl in tight spaces, climb ladders, rooftops, and lift 25 pounds.
• Cell phone with data plan; willingness to learn drone operation.
• Clear communication to convey findings to clients.
• Clean background (federal and state).
• Must carry General Liability insurance (approx. $1,000,000).

Responsibilities

As a Texas Home Inspector, you will play a crucial role in helping home buyers make informed decisions about their potential investment. Your expertise in construction inspection and quality control will ensure that clients have a comprehensive understanding of the condition of the property they are considering. • Company-provided mold, lead, radon, sewer scope equipment and software license provided depending on your license, certification, TREC rules, and state laws.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections of residential and or commercial properties to assess their condition and identify any potential issues or defects
• Inspect various systems and components of the home, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, structural elements, among others
• Use specialized tools and equipment to perform inspections and accurately document findings within 24 hours
• Prepare detailed inspection reports that clearly outline any observed deficiencies or concerns
• Communicate inspection findings to clients in a professional and informative manner
• Provide recommendation of contractor types for repairs or maintenance based on inspection results
• Stay up-to-date with industry standards and TREC regulations to ensure compliance during inspections

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid and current (or currently working towards) TREC Home Inspectors license.
• Must be able to stand, crawl in tight crawl spaces, walk, climb ladders, climb and walk on roofs, and lift 25 pounds
• Cell phone with data plan and willingness to learn how to operate a drone (if interested)
• Attention to detail and ability to identify potential issues or defects
• Clean background (federal and state)
• Effective communication skills to clearly convey inspection findings to clients
• Must not be scared of crawlspaces (tight spaces) or roofs (heights).

• Must have or be willing to carry General Liability insurance with a minimum of $1,000,000 in coverage (costs around $32 a month) or what ever the TREC current limits are.

More:

This job is excellent for employees who want to make the most of their time. You will get paid per job completed. This allows you to do 1 inspection per day for your first 15 inspections. Then you can do 2 a day for the first year. After year one you can choose to do 3 full home inspections per day. Depending on your availability and needs. This can be a perfect part-time to full-time position. You do get to craft your own schedule. You are paid weekly with no hold back time frame. We are perfectly comfortable hiring inexperienced, but credentialed home inspectors.

The candidate can be located within 50 miles of the listed city on this job requisition. Your home address will be the pin point in the middle of your territory.
