Webb Property Inspections is seeking a Home Inspector to help buyers understand property conditions. You will conduct thorough inspections of residential and commercial properties, document findings, and help clients make informed decisions.

This role offers flexible scheduling, weekly pay, and training. You can work from home when not on-site, with access to advanced reporting software and a safety-conscious work environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid state Home Inspector license if required by state
• Willing to pursue CPI or NHIE if unlicensed
• Able to access crawl spaces, roofs, and lift 25 lbs

As a Home Inspector, you will play a crucial role in helping home buyers make informed decisions about their potential investment. Your expertise in construction inspection and quality control will ensure that clients have a comprehensive understanding of the condition of the property they are considering. Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections of residential and or commercial properties to assess their condition and identify any potential issues or defects
• Inspect various systems and components of the home, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, structural elements, among others
• Use specialized tools and equipment to perform inspections and accurately document findings within 24 hours
• Prepare detailed inspection reports that clearly outline any observed deficiencies or concerns
• Communicate inspection findings to clients in a professional and informative manner
• Provide recommendation of contractor types for repairs or maintenance based on inspection results
• Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations to ensure compliance during inspections

Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid and current (or currently working towards) state issued Home Inspectors license if required by the state
• You must be willing to achieve your Certified Professional Inspector (CPI) credential through InterNACHI or have passed the National Home Inspectors Exam (NHIE) if you're in an unlicensed state.
• Must be able to stand, crawl in tight crawl spaces, walk, climb ladders, climb and walk on roofs, and lift 25 pounds
• Cell phone with data plan and willingness to learn how to operate a drone (if interested)
• Attention to detail and ability to identify potential issues or defects
• Clean background (federal and state)
• Effective communication skills to clearly convey inspection findings to clients
• Must not be scared of crawlspaces (tight spaces) or roofs (heights).
• Must have or be willing to carry General Liability insurance with a minimum of $1,000,000 in coverage (costs around $32 a month)

More:

This job is excellent for employees who want to make the most of their time. You will get paid per job completed. This allows you to do 1 inspection per day for your first 15 inspections. Then you can do 2 a day for the first year. After year one you can choose to do 3 full home inspections per day. Depending on your availability and needs. This can be a perfect part-time to full-time position. You do get to craft your own schedule. You are paid weekly with no hold back time frame. We are perfectly comfortable hiring inexperienced, but credentialed home inspectors.

Your state is an “unlicensed state”, you must have completed a Home Inspectors training program from Internachi ($49.99) *Preferred*, American Society of Home Inspectors, or Inspection Certification Associates, via online or in person. Proof of such will be requested if you are considered for the opening. The candidate can be located within 50 miles of the listed city on this job requisition. Your home address will be the pin point in the middle of your territory.
