Responsibilities include performing haircuts, shampoos, styles, perms, and color treatments; maintaining a sanitary salon; coordinating scheduling with nursing and activities staff; and ensuring infection control.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina cosmetology license required.
• Experience working with geriatric or long-term care residents preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide haircuts, shampoos, sets, styles, perms, and color treatments according to resident preferences and needs.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and welcoming salon space within the facility.
• Schedule and manage appointments in coordination with nursing and activities staff.
• Ensure proper infection control and sanitation procedures for tools and equipment.
• Build positive relationships with residents, treating them with patience, respect, and kindness.
• Maintain accurate records of services provided and report any resident concerns to nursing staff.
• Adhere to all state regulations and facility policies regarding resident care and safety.
