Job summary

Dallas Institute of Funeral Service seeks a licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer to provide compassionate, professional funeral services and coordinate all aspects of at-need and preneed arrangements.

Responsibilities include arranging services, embalming, coordinating transportation, completing documentation, and collaborating with clergy and service providers, while working with on-call rotations and promoting the funeral home. Kentucky licensing or reciprocity is required.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Mortuary Science.
• Kentucky Funeral Director and Embalmer license or ability to reciprocate.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Valid state issued driver’s license with good driving record.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs or more.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and direct funeral and memorial services.
• Embalming and preparing decedents.
• Coordinate transportation and disposition.
• Complete required documentation and liaise with clergy, cemeteries, crematories, vendors, and other service providers.
• Participate in on-call rotation including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
