What You'll Be Doing

• Responsible for various duties, including embalming, dressing, and applying cosmetics.
• Meet with families for cosmetic interviews and adjustments and complete the necessary paperwork.
• Uphold Forest Lawn's quality and ethical service standards while safeguarding the dignity of human remains.

Requirements

Current valid California Embalmer License.

• Completed an apprenticeship and licensed to perform duties as a Licensed Embalmer as defined by the State of California.
• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in Mortuary Science or Embalming.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Valid California Driver’s License, including state-required levels of active auto insurance.
• Ability to lift 100 lbs.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
