Job summary

Elevated Facility Services Group in the Washington DC–Baltimore Area is seeking a Licensed Elevator Technician for full-time, on-site work. You will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on elevators to ensure safe, reliable operation, while documenting all service activities and coordinating with dispatch and customers.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, electrical knowledge, and a valid elevator technician license or certification.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in Elevator Maintenance and Elevators, with experience performing scheduled inspections and preventative service.
• Strong Troubleshooting abilities for mechanical and electrical systems, including diagnosing faults and implementing effective repairs.
• Working knowledge of Electricity, with the ability to read electrical diagrams and safely work on control systems and wiring.
• Hands-on Maintenance & Repair skills, including component replacement, adjustments, and system testing.
• Valid elevator technician license or certification in accordance with local and state requirements.
• Proven commitment to safety, compliance with applicable codes, and adherence to company policies.
• Ability to work on-site in the Washington DC–Baltimore Area, including occasional overtime or emergency call-outs as needed.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers, colleagues, and supervisors.
• Physical capability to lift equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks at various heights.

Responsibilities

• The Licensed Elevator Technician performs routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on elevators and related equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and document all work performed.
• Coordinate with dispatch, supervisors, and customers to schedule service and explain findings.
• Adhere to safety standards, codes, and company procedures while maintaining service records and training.
