Job summary

Elevated Facility Services in Maryland seeks a Service Technician to perform complex maintenance, servicing, repair and troubleshooting of elevators and related machinery. Investigates electric, mechanical and hydraulic issues, conducts preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure safe operation and OSHA compliance.

Responsibilities include diagnosing problems, performing annual tests of safety devices, assisting in evaluating equipment, and participating in on-call emergency work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certified Elevator Technician degree or Elevator Mechanic License is required.
• Experience using hand and electrical tools is essential.
• Knowledge of electrical reading and testing equipment, hoisting and rigging is important.

Responsibilities

• Investigates electric/mechanical/hydraulic elevator issues and performs repairs.
• Conducts preventive maintenance and inspections per schedule to ensure safe operation and OSHA compliance.
• Performs annual tests to ensure proper operation of safety devices.
• Assists in evaluating equipment suitability and new equipment proposals.
• Performs additional duties as needed.
