Job summary

We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, seeks an Electrician (South) for our West Allis, Wisconsin location. The role involves installing, maintaining, repairing, and operating electrical equipment in substations, power plants, and company and customer facilities, with limited operation and switching.

The candidate will construct, inspect, install, repair and operate electrical equipment, work on AC/DC control systems and hi-voltage transmission, and perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a State Licensed Journeyman Electrician.
• At least two years of relevant Electrician/Plant Electrician/Substation Electrician experience in the last 10 years.
• Associate's Degree in an Electrical field or equivalent military training.
• Two years of electrical engineering coursework at an accredited school.
• Technical diploma in Electrical Power Distribution or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair and operate electrical equipment located in substations, power plants, and buildings.
• Work on AC/DC control systems and hi-voltage equipment.
• Perform limited electrical operation and switching.
• Execute other specialized duties as assigned.
