Job summary

American Homestays, LLC is seeking a licensed Electrician to support residential and commercial properties in the Baltimore area. The role involves diagnosing issues, performing installations, and ensuring safety and code compliance across scheduled projects.

The ideal candidate is experienced, can work independently, and is comfortable in occupied units. A Maryland license, own tools, and reliable transportation are required, with travel up to 50% as noted.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in residential and/or commercial electrical work.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Familiarity with local and national electrical codes.
• Own tools and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must carry or be willing to obtain general liability insurance (if 1099).
• Experience in property management or multifamily housing maintenance.
• Ability to estimate project costs and materials.
• Comfortable working in occupied units or tenant environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical installations, upgrades, and repairs for residential and commercial properties
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues, including short circuits, faulty wiring, or malfunctioning fixtures
• Install and maintain lighting, outlets, switches, panels, circuit breakers, and electrical systems
• Conduct inspections and ensure work complies with local, state, and NEC electrical codes
• Respond to service calls, emergency repairs, and general maintenance requests as scheduled
• Collaborate with property management and maintenance teams as needed
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time on task
