Job summary

Mentor Technical Group seeks a qualified Electrician in Puerto Rico to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring and fixtures, ensuring compliance with applicable codes. The role requires testing, troubleshooting PLCs, and programming VFDs, with a focus on safety and mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities include assembly and testing of electrical systems, maintaining equipment to regulatory codes, and performing duties in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Technical College Electrician Degree required.
  • Certified/Licensed Electrician awarded by the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico required.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances and fixtures.
  • Maintain electrical equipment to meet state and federal codes.
  • Demonstrate safe use of shop tools (hand and power).
  • Demonstrate mechanical knowledge.
  • Program VFDs and troubleshoot PLCs.
  • Work from ladders, scaffolds and roofs to install/repair wiring and equipment.
  • Complete timesheets and work orders with materials used and time spent.
  • Work overtime including weekends/holidays when required.
  • Attend emergency calls outside normal hours when available.
  • Follow GMP practices for documentation when required.
  • Provide cover for staff during absences and emergencies.
  • Maintain positive customer relations and proactive communication.
