Job summary

McAlester Regional Health Center is seeking a Licensed Electrician to install, maintain and repair electrical systems across hospital facilities and external clinics in Oklahoma. You will follow NEC and local codes, read blueprints, and collaborate with project teams to deliver safe, energy-efficient electrical infrastructure.

Responsibilities include inspections, preventive maintenance, and documenting work while complying with safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Valid electrician license issued by the relevant state authority in the United States.
• Oklahoma Unlimited or Residential Electrical Journeyman/Contractor License issued by the Oklahoma Construction Industries Board (CIB).
• Complete and maintain required continuing education (CE) credits and meet the hospital’s licensing requirements.
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
• Proven experience working as a licensed electrician in residential, commercial, or industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Oversees local inside as well as large outside contracted projects for adherence to code, specification, and safety aspects.
• Conduct inspections and testing of electrical components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
• Collaborate with construction teams and other trades to ensure electrical systems are integrated properly within building projects.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
• Document work performed, including materials used and time spent, to maintain accurate job records.
• Performs preventive maintenance and checks as directed.
