Michigan Department of Corrections seeks an Electrician Licensed professional to oversee and assist the electrical needs at Lakeland Correctional Facility. You will direct the electrical shop, including supervising inmate workers, and manage tools, equipment, and building systems.

The role requires a journeyman electrician's license and relevant experience. Some positions may require a CDL. New hires undergo NCNET and online training; the position is drug- and alcohol-tested.

Competenze

• One year of electrical trade experience equivalent to Electrician Licensed 9.
• Possession of a journeyman electrician's license.
• Some positions may require possession of a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.

Mansioni

• Oversee and assist the electrical needs of Lakeland Correctional Facility.
• Direct operations of the electrical shop including prisoner work crews.
• Responsible for tools and equipment and for maintaining electrical service, communication and security systems.
• Perform new electrical installations and ensure all work complies with state and local regulations and standards.
• This is a drug and alcohol tested position.
