Job summary

Quanex is seeking a Licensed Electrician - 1st Shift to join our team in Owatonna, Minnesota. The role covers electrical installations, maintenance and repair of equipment, plus related hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

The position runs Monday–Thursday from 5am to 3:30pm with a starting pay range of $35.00 to $37.80 per hour, plus a comprehensive benefits package including 401K with match, ESPP, disability/life insurance, PTO and tuition support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Minnesota Master, Journeyman, or Maintenance Electrician license required.
• Minimum of 4 years’ electrical experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair electrical equipment in plant and office areas.
• Calculate load requirements and install new circuits for equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic systems promptly.
• Record installations requiring state inspection in the Electrical Inspection Log.
• Train and mentor less experienced electricians and operators.
