Role Description The Licensed Electrician is a full-time awesome opportunity for a 5+ year experienced licensed electrician to support the modernization and installation of Radar Systems for the Federal Aviation Administration. There is monthly travel required approximately 75% of the time on site at various FAA Airport site locations throughout the US and its territories. The Licensed Electrician will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other technical staff to support reliable operations, implement system replacement and upgrades. The role also includes maintaining accurate documentation of work performed, participating in preventative maintenance programs, and recommending improvements to enhance electrical safety and efficiency. Climbing certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in electricity and electrical principles, with the ability to interpret technical diagrams and specifications.
• Hands-on experience in electrical work, including installation, wiring, and system configuration in commercial or institutional settings.
• Skills in maintenance & repair of electrical systems and equipment, including routine and preventative maintenance activities.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective, safe solutions.
• Background in electrical engineering or related technical training, with familiarity in applicable codes and standards.
• Valid electrician license for the relevant jurisdiction; additional certifications in safety or specialized electrical systems are a plus.
• Ability to work on-site, handle physical tasks safely, and follow established safety protocols and compliance requirements.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience supporting critical infrastructure, government, healthcare, or mission-driven environments is highly beneficial.
