Job summary

Vanderlande is seeking a Licensed Electrician to join our maintenance team. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain baggage handling equipment and conveyors, following diagrams and safety procedures.

Expect to work on electrical and mechanical systems and support control room operations. Requirements include a PR Master Electrician or Electrician Assistant license, the ability to read drawings, and willingness to work shifts, nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year's experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance.
  • PR Master Electrician or Electrician Assistance License.
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings/prints.
  • Able to lift baggage weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Available to work scheduled shifts, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Clean BHS areas and equipment.
  • Comply with Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery and electrical equipment such as motors, electrical circuits, SICK ATR systems, baggage handling equipment and conveyor systems in accordance with diagrams, electrical drawings, operating manuals and manufacturer specifications using hand tools and precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Excellence with customer service.
  • Prepare and execute service calls, Emergency Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance
  • Report service calls internally and to customer
  • Advise and execute optimization of (sub) systems, consulting the supervisor
  • Analyze system performance (and the operator influence)
  • Monitor system from Control Room
  • Control and propose improvements for the quality of the service process
  • Develop service supporting tools and means
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance & follow-up CM work orders
  • Un-jam conveyors
  • Research and Request spare Parts as required
  • Perform Inventory Counts
  • Complete CMMS Service Reports, Parts Usage and Warranty Records
