Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks an experienced Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) to join the Electrical System Operations team. The candidate must have five+ years of high voltage experience, preferably in a hospital or university setting, and a track record of maintaining and upgrading critical electrical infrastructure for continuous, safe power.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related) is required.
5+ years of related experience in high voltage systems.
Professional Engineer (PE) license, preferably in Texas, is required and must be kept current.

Responsibilities

Provide professional engineering consultation for programming, planning and designing electrical projects.
Advise administrators and department chairs during development of project programs and construction documents.
Prepare plans and specifications for remodeling and adapting campus buildings' electrical systems.
Inspect construction sites to ensure progress, quality, and contract compliance.
Maintain relationships between contractors and in-house staff and represent UT Southwestern on specific projects.
