Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related) is required.
• 5+ years of related experience in high voltage systems.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license, preferably in Texas, is required and must be kept current.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional engineering consultation for programming, planning and designing electrical projects.
• Advise administrators and department chairs during development of project programs and construction documents.
• Prepare plans and specifications for remodeling and adapting campus buildings' electrical systems.
• Inspect construction sites to ensure progress, quality, and contract compliance.
• Maintain relationships between contractors and in-house staff and represent UT Southwestern on specific projects.
