Prizm Electrical Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Electrical Journeyman to join our team in VA.

This role will independently handle lighting, power, and control systems within commercial and industrial facilities, following NFPA70 NEC guidelines. You will work across multiple states, interpret complex schematics, and contribute to safe, high-quality installations while supporting our culture of growth and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid state journeyman electrician license.
• Reads and interprets schematics, specs and submittals for electrical layouts.
• Follows safety and OSHA standards in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Interpret technical drawings to determine electrical layouts.
• Lead compliance with OSHA and applicable standards.
• Ensure high-quality installation of electrical equipment and components.
• Install and repair wiring, fixtures, power equipment, and machinery per NEC.
• Operate hand tools such as core drill, hammer drill, conduit benders, and threaders.
• Perform underground and overhead electrical installations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot wiring and components.
• Assist with crew productivity and material orders.
• Inspect tasks upon completion and keep work areas clean.
• Follow safety procedures to prevent injuries.

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

• Interprets technical drawings and schematics, specifications, and submittals to determine layout of electrical systems

• Perform underground and overhead electrical installations
• Diagnoses and troubleshoots wiring and components
• Assists with crew productivity
• Facilitates order of needed electrical components
• Inspect tasks upon completion and ensure areas are clean
• Electricians risk injury from electrical shock, falls, and cuts; to avoid injuries, they must follow strict safety procedures.

Education and Experience:

• Valid state license that permits you to practice as a journeyman electrician
• Excellent critical thinking skills
• Observant and thorough
• An active listener with top-notch verbal and written communication skills

Physical Requirements:

• Physically fit and capable of carrying up to 50 pounds.
• Frequently work on manlifts, ladders and scaffolds.
• Working environment varies, depending on the type of job. Including, but not limited to natural ambient conditions, confined areas, ditches, or other uncomfortable places.
• Operates construction equipment, including, forklifts, backhoes, and cargo trucks.
• Work weeks are typically 40 hours with project specific overtime, as needed.
• Project specific travel may be required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
