KAI is seeking an Electrical Field Engineer II (PE) to support commercial, healthcare, and mission‑critical projects in the St. Louis area.

The role covers field engineering, design review, construction administration, testing, commissioning, and closeout across multiple project phases. The ideal candidate will hold a PE license, have 6+ years of related experience, and demonstrate strong knowledge of building electrical systems, coordination with designers and contractors, and a focus on safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum 6 years in electrical engineering, MEP or related field.
• Experience in design‑build or design‑assist delivery (preferred).
• LEED AP (preferred).

Responsabilités

• Provide field engineering support during construction, startup, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Inspect sites to verify installation quality and compliance with documents.
• Monitor power distribution, lighting, life safety, and low‑voltage systems.
• Review drawings, specs, codes and submittals for compliance.
• Coordinate resolution of field conflicts with owners, architects, contractors, and teams.
• Support commissioning activities and turnover with clients.
• Prepare technical reports and participate in project meetings.
