Job summary

WGI seeks a licensed Drainage Engineer with 5-8 years of professional experience to join the Transportation Division in the Jacksonville office. The role focuses on roadway drainage design, project coordination across multiple disciplines, and producing permit packages from initial concept through construction documentation.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering and a Florida EI or PE license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing roadway drainage engineering designs including project research, basin delineation, storm sewer layouts, storm water management facilities, plans preparation, quantity estimates, and post design services.
• Coordinate plans, calculations and specifications amongst multi-discipline engineering teams.
• Prepare drainage plans and review shop drawings to support project design and construction documentation.
• Ensure quality control and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and environmental regulations throughout the design process.
