Job summary

Santa Fe County is seeking a licensed mental health professional to provide therapy under supervision, develop treatment plans, and evaluate specialized programs for residents in the detention setting. The role requires collaboration with a cross-disciplinary team to meet treatment goals and ensure regulatory compliance.

The position involves liaison work with probation officers and families, staff training, and ongoing program evaluation in a secure facility.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field.
• Must pass background check.
• Must possess a valid New Mexico Class D driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provides therapy under the direction of the Mental Health Manager and develops/implements treatment programs.
• Supervises and evaluates sex offender services for residents with ongoing evaluation and enhancement.
• Assists supervisory staff in training clinical staff and coordinating a cross-disciplinary treatment team.
• Serves as liaison with probation officers, family members, attorneys and other stakeholders.
