Qualifications

Job description

Join our dedicated Oral Health Care team as a SedationLicensed Dental Assistant and play a key role in delivering high-quality dentalcare to our patients. This position offers a unique opportunity to supportclinical services in both traditional and mobile dental settings, includingoutpatient clinics, our ambulatory surgical center, and community-basedlocations.
As a Sedation Licensed Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist(s), CRNA,dental or medical anesthesiologist, hygienist(s), and advanced dentaltherapist(s) in the preparation and delivery of dental services with a focus onsedation and surgical support. Your role ensures smooth operations andcompassionate care in both clinical and community settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in sedation and non-sedationprocedures alongside dental providers and anesthesia professionals
  • Prepare operatory and instruments fordental procedures, maintaining strict infection control protocols
  • Monitor and support patients duringsedation appointments
  • Document treatment notes in theelectronic health record
  • Participate in mobile dental unitoutreach and clinic-based care delivery
  • Collaborate with clinical and supportstaff to ensure excellent patient experience

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Completion of an accredited dentalassisting program
  • Active Minnesota dental assistantlicensure with DAND certification and/or state jurisprudence to performdesignated tasks
  • Current BLS (CPR) certification fromAmerican Heart Association or Red Cross
  • Allied sedation monitoring and IVassistant certification preferred (or ability to obtain within 18 monthsof hire)
  • Effective written and verbalcommunication skills in English required
  • Spanish-speaking skills preferred basedon clinic location
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to beadded to company car insurance roster highly preferred
