Job summary

Community Dental Care in Rochester, MN, is hiring a full-time Licensed Dental Assistant (LDA) to join our clinical team. The LDA will support comprehensive dental care, perform charting, radiographs, impressions, sealants, and temporary restorations, while ensuring patient comfort and high-quality care.

Qualifications include an accredited dental assisting program, MN licensure (or pending), CPR/AED certification, and a focus on culturally sensitive care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program.
• Dental Assisting licensure in MN (or pending licensure).
• CPR/AED certification.
• Experience working with culturally diverse communities preferred.
• Proficiency in a second language preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental care with a focus on the health needs of the patients.
• Complete preliminary charting of the oral cavity and surrounding structures; take vital signs, and radiographs.
• Perform mechanical polishing to clinical crowns, take impressions and a bite registration, etch enamel surfaces, apply sealants, place/remove rubber dam, and cement temporary restorations.
• Remove sutures, place/remove periodontal dressings, cotton pellets and temporary materials.
• Under supervision, administer nitrous oxide inhalation anesthesia and monitor patient.
• Perform restorative procedures such as placing, contouring, and adjusting amalgam and composite restorations, and adapting and cementing stainless steel crowns.

• Perform restorative procedures such as placing, contouring, and adjusting amalgam and composite restorations, and adapting and cementing stainless steel crowns

Rochester Clinic Hours

• Monday/Tuesday 7:50am – 3pm
• Wednesday/Thursday 7:50am-5pm
• Friday 7:50am-2pm
