Job summary

Medium is seeking a Licensed Dental Assistant to join our mobile dentistry team in New Brighton, MN. You will support dentists, therapists, and hygienists in delivering primary dental care across outpatient clinics and community sites in the Twin Cities area.

The role requires a Minnesota LDA license, DANB or state qualifying credentials, CPR (BLS), and strong English communication. Flexible hours with a focus on patient-centered care and community impact.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed with an accredited dental assisting program.
• Active Minnesota Licensed Dental Assistant (LDA) credential.
• DANB certification or state jurisprudence qualification for specified tasks.
• Current CPR (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency in English (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists with patient care, including chairside support and material prep.
• Take and develop dental X-rays as required.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-procedure care.
• Maintain a clean, infection-controlled clinical environment.
• Document patient care and treatment plans in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a positive patient experience.

As a Licensed Dental Assistant, you will be an integral part of our Oral Health Care team, assisting dentists, advanced dental therapists, and dental hygienists in the preparation and direct provision of primary care dental services to patients in our outpatient clinics or at community sites within the Twin Cities area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist dentists with patient care, including chairside assistance and preparation of dental materials.
• Take and develop dental X-rays as required.
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-procedure care.
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, following infection control protocols.
• Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in the electronic health record system.
• Work closely with the dental team to ensure a positive patient experience.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required, along with completion of an accredited dental assisting course.
• Active Minnesota Licensed Dental Assistant (LDA) credential.
• DANB certification or equivalent state jurisprudence qualification for specified tasks.
