Job summary

Saronic Technologies is seeking a licensed Deck Officer to support end-of-line testing and commissioning of our mid-sized autonomous surface vessel, Marauder. You will stand a navigational watch as part of safe and efficient navigation during testing and builder trials of cutting‑edge autonomous systems.

The ideal candidate has strong problem‑solving abilities, a steadfast commitment to safety, and solid command of maritime regulations to ensure top-tier vessel operations.

Qualifications

• Valid U.S. Coast Guard license and mate credentials.
• STCW Basic Training, GMDSS Operator, OICNW, FCC License.
• TWIC, USCG STCW Medical Certificate and passport.
• Proficiency in maritime navigation systems.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely navigate the vessel to and from operation testing sites.
• Stand a navigational watch and monitor autonomous systems.
• Contribute to overall vessel operations as directed by the Captain.
• Assist in the shipboard execution of mission objectives.
