Saronic Technologies in the United States is seeking a Commissioning Assistant Engineer for the Marauder program to support the Chief Engineer in commissioning the engine room aboard an autonomous vessel. You will help test main propulsion, auxiliary machinery, fuel, lubrication, cooling, and environmental systems, integrating them with the vessel’s autonomy and software controls.

The role requires strong problem-solving, ability to draft and refine procedures, adherence to safety and maritime

Qualificações

USCG MMC is required for eligibility.
Endorsements for engineer watch and STCW are required or desired.
Valid medical certificate and travel documents needed.
TWIC and passport are essential for travel and access.
Solid understanding of maritime engineering systems is expected.

Responsabilidades

Support commissioning activities for autonomous vessels, including system testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with autonomy and software teams to verify integration between machinery controls and the autonomy stack.
Develop, write, and refine SOPs, checklists, and technical documentation from scratch.
Perform maintenance on vessel machinery under guidance of Chief Engineer.
Be on-call during hitch and assist with spare parts inventory and ordering.
Support shipboard execution of mission objectives and cross-functional coordination.
