MOHR Talent is seeking a hands-on Licensed Customs Broker Operations Manager in Jersey City to guide a skilled entry team, ensure compliant entry processing, and shape best practices as the business grows. A Licensed Customs Broker is required.

Responsibilities include leading daily brokerage activities, mentoring entry writers, reviewing documentation, and coordinating workflow to maintain accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Customs Broker License required.
• 5+ years of experience in customs brokerage operations.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, import processes, and trade compliance.
• Experience supervising or mentoring entry writers preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Monitor and resolve Customs rejections, RFIs, and compliance matters.

• Develop and maintain SOPs for import operations.
• Coordinate workflow, assign tasks, and balance team productivity.
• Share updates on regulatory changes involving Customs and Partner Government Agencies.
• Coach and develop team members alongside management.

Job Description

A well established and growing logistics and customs brokerage company with a team that cares about their people is hiring a hands-on Customs Brokerage Operations Manager. You will guide a skilled entry team, keep operations accurate and compliant, and help shape best practices as the business grows. A Licensed Customs Broker is required.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage daily customs brokerage activity to keep entry processing timely, accurate, and compliant
• Guide Entry Writers and support staff on U.S. Customs regulations, documentation, and procedures
• Review entry documentation for accuracy and compliance before submission
• Monitor and resolve Customs rejections, RFIs, and compliance matters
• Jump in and prepare and file entries when workload calls for it
• Develop and maintain SOPs for import operations
• Coordinate workflow, assign tasks, and keep team productivity balanced
• Share updates on regulatory changes involving Customs and Partner Government Agencies
• Coach and develop team members alongside management

What You Bring:

• Active U.S. Customs Broker License (required)
• 5+ years of experience in customs brokerage operations
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, import processes, and trade compliance
• Experience supervising or mentoring entry writers is highly preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and comfort in a fast-paced environment
• Process improvement experience is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
