Windham Hospital, part of Hartford HealthCare, seeks a Licensed Crisis Clinician to provide psychiatric assessments in the Emergency Department and coordinate care for behavioral health and substance use needs. Collaboration with ED teams and community providers is essential to ensure coordinated care.
The role requires a CT-licensed LCSW/LMFT/LPC, a Master’s degree, and 2+ years in a psychiatric setting; bilingual Spanish is preferred.

Licensed Crisis Clinician provides comprehensive psychiatric assessments within the Emergency Department making recommendations and assisting in the coordination of care for patients presenting with behavioral health and substance abuse needs while working collaboratively with the emergency department interdisciplinary teams. Responds to crisis calls. Conducts advocacy, referral and discharge planning to meet patient/family needs. Works with patients’ community behavioral health and medical providers to assure coordination of clinical care. Facilitates treatment process by referring patient/family members to appropriate level of care, and other resources as well as providing direct crisis intervention services.
Schedule: 3:00PM-11:30PM; Monday through Friday with option for Sunday through Thursday schedule.
