Job summary

Madison Reed in California is seeking a Licensed Colorist to join our Hair Color Bar team. You will consult with guests, perform color services, and deliver the quality care that defines our guest promise.

The role supports a welcoming, fast-paced environment, requires a valid cosmetology license, and at least one year behind the chair. Compensation includes base hourly pay, commissions, and tips, with earnings ranging from $43 to $45 per hour at this location.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the applying state.
• At least 1 year of colorist experience in a salon setting.
• Strong communication and guest-service skills.
• Experience with point-of-sale systems is a plus.
• Fluent English required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teamwork to deliver a guest experience aligned with company values.
• Provide color services and other menu offerings to high quality standards.
• Assist guests in product selection and stay on schedule for bookings.
• Contribute to achieving monthly sales goals and KPIs (retail, services, memberships).
• Maintain cleanliness, merchandising, and inventory standards of the Hair Color Bar.
• Follow Madison Reed policies and procedures.
• Promote revenue through additional services and memberships.
• Participate in ongoing training and product knowledge updates.
• Support training of Assistant Colorists.
