Licensed CMA (Certified Medical Assistant)

Highlands Oaks Health Center, a beautiful nursing home near McConnelsville, Ohio, is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our team.

Required Education/Qualifications

An active Medication Aide Certification issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Administer prescribed, routine, and PRN medications in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Observe residents for adverse reactions and report concerns to the supervising nurse
  • Take and record vital signs prior to medication administration
  • Document medication administration in the resident’s record
  • Communicate deviations in medication administration to the nurse
  • Assist nurses in providing resident care, including observation and reporting of needs
  • Prepare and store medications as per manufacturer or pharmacist instructions
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and organized medication room and cart
