A Day in the Life of a Medical Assistant

• Perform administrative duties such as scheduling, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding for insurance.
• Carry out clinical duties including rooming patients, recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for exams, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by a physician.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current licensure as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant

Preferred:

• 6 months’ experience in a medical clinic
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire
