Overview

Natchaug Hospital, Eastern Connecticut’s leading provider for behavioral health and substance abuse treatment, seeks licensed behavioral health clinicians to join our Adult PHP and IOP programs. These programs focus on creating therapeutic environments for clients to learn coping strategies and improve functioning, primarily through group therapy. The position involves working in a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based clinical services, including individual, group, and family therapy.

Position Details

This is a part-time, 24-hour/week position, scheduled for Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM. The role requires flexibility to float to other sites as needed and offers additional compensation and benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments and develop care plans.
  2. Provide direct patient care, including case management, crisis intervention, counseling, and discharge planning.
  3. Refer patients to appropriate care levels and resources.
  4. Maintain timely, accurate documentation in accordance with regulations.
  5. Deliver clinical social work interventions to diverse patient populations.
  6. Provide social work supervision to second-year students.
  7. Eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $1,500, based on program guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or related human service field.
  • Experience in healthcare settings, preferably with adults and chemical dependency populations.
  • Current Connecticut licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LADC, or Psychologist).
  • Excellent communication skills and cultural competence.
  • Valid driver’s license.
