Job summary

Promises Behavioral Health is seeking a Full-Time Licensed Counselor to join our team in a Monday–Friday schedule. The Primary Therapist will deliver individual, group and family therapy, crisis intervention, psychoeducation, and experiential learning for clients and families within our Advanced Recovery Systems network.

The role involves clinical oversight of residential facilities, collaboration with case managers and family therapists, and preparation of psychosocial assessments and discharge

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in counseling, social work, psychology or related field required.
• Three years' experience in social work or related field.
• Experience with addictions and/or mental health.
• Experience using DBT, CBT, Family Systems, and related modalities.
• Knowledge of treatment models, relapse prevention and dual diagnosis concepts.
• Understanding diagnostic criteria for dual conditions and placement criteria.
• Ability to work with diverse cultures and gender-specific needs.
• Excellent organizational and independent work abilities; strong communication skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or achieved within mandated time frame.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual, group and family therapy, crisis intervention services, and psychoeducation.
• Provides oversight of residential facilities.
• Provides clinical consultation for clients and families, and referents upon request.
• Provides psychosocial assessments, treatment plans and discharge summaries.
