Job summary

Centerstone is seeking an experienced utilization review supervisor in Florida to oversee UR specialists and case managers. You will ensure quality chart reviews, coordinate with units and fiscal staff, and maintain timely certification processes in a fast-paced setting.

Applicants should hold a Master’s degree and Florida licensure (LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT) with prior supervision experience and strong communication skills. This role offers full-time hours and comprehensive benefits.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Knowledge of utilization review process with the ability to review continued length of stay, assure appropriate allocation of facility resources by striving to provide quality client care in the most cost-effective manner. Monitor chart quality of representative sample of Crisis Stabilization Unit charts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Reports to work as scheduled on a daily basis and performs assigned duties to ensure the smooth operation of the department. Supervises team of UR Specialist and Case Managers. Able to work within an Electronic Medical Record (recording UR interactions in charts). Able to work in a high paced atmosphere managing multiple cases at a time. Performs utilization and financial case management duties. Maintains a clear description of methodology used in conducting utilization review/financial case management role. Assures proper information is relayed to third party provider in timely fashion. Assures continued need for stay is documented. Meets appropriate deadlines for certification and recertification. Documents activities for later review. Assures appropriate consents are signed for information release and maintains confidentiality policies. Makes Clinical Director aware of client/payer issues. Communicates effectively with treatment team including psychiatrist to ensure appropriate length of stay. Trains Case Managers Function as team leader for other UR positions, giving guidance and training. Coordinate flow of information between UR, units, and fiscal staff.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods. Organized, dependable, able to articulate needs of the client. Experience with MS software and other computer software. Ability to lead and be a team player. Disciplined, organized, good communication skills, and calm in a crisis.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education Level Master's degree required. Years of Experience Experience working with families involved with child welfare. Preferred: Knowledge of local mental health, substance abuse, criminal justice, veteran and community resources preferred. Knowledge of addiction treatment (motivational interviewing), trauma- focused treatment, crisis intervention and dialectical behavioral therapy. Certification/Licensure Must be licensed (LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT) per Florida department of Professional Regulation as per chapter 490 or 491 F.S. Management experience. Must have valid drivers license, current automobile insurance and have a safe driving record.
