Provide individual, family, and group counseling services to patients in an inpatient behavioral health setting. Provide written documentation regarding patient progress and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support treatment goals and continuity of care. This role works closely with patients, clinical staff, and community resources to promote stabilization and recovery during hospitalization. As part of the inpatient treatment team, the Therapist conducts assessments, supports treatment and discharge planning, and provides intervention for patients experiencing acute mental health and behavioral health needs. *Sign-On Bonus Eligible*
Specific to Inpatient: Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and communicate patient progress, barriers, and treatment recommendations. Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support for patients experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms or behavioral health emergencies. Conduct clinical assessments and contribute to treatment and discharge planning throughout the patient’s hospitalization, assisting the discharge planner in evaluating barriers to discharge, identifying the safest post-discharge placement and level of care, and coordinating appropriate follow-up services and supports.
Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods. Ability to develop supportive relationships with persons with legal, mental health, substance use, and co-occurring issues while maintaining appropriate therapeutic boundaries. Possess knowledge of mental illness and recovery including the ability to collaborate with community partners. Knowledge of community resources or ability to learn quickly. Experience working with individuals with mental health or substance use concerns. Enthusiastic about influencing positive change in our clients’ lives. Understanding of populations affected by mental illness, proven skills in networking among diverse agencies, and strong planning and personnel management abilities.

Salary Range: $51,189 - $71,739
