Job summary

MaineGuide in Kentucky is seeking a licensed mental health professional to provide assessment, treatment, psychotherapy, and case management to a diverse client base.

The role involves risk assessment, referrals to needed services, collaboration with schools, law enforcement, probation, and other providers, and maintaining accurate records. In-person work location is required and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mental health counseling basics, including emotional, substance use, and social issues.
• Knowledge of legal implications, including HIPAA involved in providing mental health services.
• Evaluates patient needs and plans appropriate interventions.
• Arranges or refers patients to needed services and supports.
• Collaborates with law enforcement, probation and parole, schools and employers as requested.

Job description

Provides assessment, treatment, psychotherapy, case management and referral to a broad range of clients. This may include a variety of treatment modalities including individual, couples, family or group therapy. Clients can range in age from young children to the elderly. Treatments are provided in accordance with best practice and professional ethics and boundaries.

• Knowledge necessary for implementation of basic skills in regards to mental health counseling; including psychological, emotional, substance use, and social issues.
• Knowledge of legal implications, including HIPAA involved in providing mental health services.
• Provides evaluation of patient needs.
• Arranges for or refers patients to needed services.
• Provide collaboration with law enforcement, probation and parole agents, schools, employers and other treatment providers as requested and released by the client.
• Assures that patient records are maintained with concise, legible and pertinent documentation.
• Provide case management services and crisis intervention as needed.

Pay: $66,511.00 - $81,476.00 per year
