Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Adolescent Medicine. The role focuses on psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and delivering psychological/social interventions within a multidisciplinary team to support patients and families.

Experience with eating disorders is strongly preferred. Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with full-time engagement and opportunities to collaborate across care teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW).
• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure work experience.
• Ability to perform psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention theory and disease management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients using various modalities as part of the multidisciplinary team.

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker treats patients by utilizing a variety of modalities as a member of the multidisciplinary clinical treatment team. Also provides psychological/social interventions that support patients and families relating to behavioral health, levels of care, hospitalization, disease and illness and wellness and recovery.

This LCSW will work in Adolescent Medicine. Experience with eating disorders is strongly preferred.

The hours are 9am - 5:30pm, Monday-Friday.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW).


• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure work experience.


• Ability to perform psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans.


• Knowledge of crisis intervention theory, its application in a variety of settings, as well as knowledge of disease management and disease process and differential diagnoses, and treatment techniques.


• Ability to work as part of a team, while building collaborative relationships.


• Must possess excellent follow through and attention to detail.


• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
