Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join the multidisciplinary clinical treatment team. The role involves providing psychosocial interventions and developing treatment plans to support patients and families dealing with behavioral health and recovery.

The LCSW will work collaboratively with other clinicians, apply crisis intervention principles, and leverage office software to document and coordinate care, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• MSW degree required.
• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure work experience.
• Ability to perform psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention theory and its application in behavioral health settings.
• Ability to work as part of a team and build collaborative relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker treats patients by utilizing a variety of modalities as a member of the multidisciplinary clinical treatment team. Also provides psychological/social interventions that support patients and families relating to behavioral health, levels of care, hospitalization, disease and illness and wellness and recovery.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW).
• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure work experience.
• Ability to perform psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention theory, its application in a variety of settings, as well as knowledge of disease management and disease process and differential diagnoses, and treatment techniques.
• Ability to work as part of a team, while building collaborative relationships.
• Must possess excellent follow through and attention to detail.
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• Ability to provide guidance/mentorship to other team members.
