Backpack Healthcare is seeking a part-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker to deliver remote mental health services to youth and families across Maryland. The role emphasizes trauma-informed, family-centered care with flexible weekday hours, and weekend options, supporting clinicians with supervision and professional growth.

Ideal candidates hold a Maryland LCSW-C or LMSW and can work autonomously in telehealth, maintaining rigorous documentation while coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland license — LCSW-C or LMSW strongly preferred.
• Experience with children, adolescents, and families.
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and caregiver therapy through secure telehealth.
• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop goals-based treatment plans.
• Deliver trauma-informed, culturally responsive care.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, PMHNPs, and care teammates.
• Support care coordination, resource linkage, and family education.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the EHR.

Competitive Compensation + Monthly Bonus Potential

• $65 per billable hour — LCSW-C/LCPC/LMFT, independently licensed
• $45 per billable hour — LMSW/LGPC, with clinical supervision provided
• Monthly bonus potential for eligible clinicians based on applicable productivity and performance criteria
• Target caseload of 15–22 sessions per week

What You'll Do

As a Backpack clinician, you'll:

• Provide individual, family, and caregiver-focused therapy through secure telehealth

• Partner with families to create sustainable change beyond the therapy session

What We're Looking For

Required/Preferred Qualifications:

• Active Maryland license — LCSW-C or LMSW strongly preferred
• LGPC or LCPC candidates may also be considered
• Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related behavioral health discipline
• Experience or strong interest in working with children, adolescents, and families
• Strong understanding of social work values, advocacy, equity, and client-centered care
• Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment
• Strong communication, documentation, and technology skills
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
• Commitment to trauma-informed and culturally responsive practice
